SCAG Clean Cities Coalition     

The Clean Cities Program was established by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and designed to support locally based government /industry partnerships in the expanded use of vehicles operating on alternative fuels. The Partnership administers the Clean Cities Program in the SCAG region and works to build up and support the public and private participants of the Coalition. Specifically, the Coalition seeks to:

• accelerate the deployment of EVs and AFVs
• identify market barriers and develop strategies to accelerate the deployment of infrastructure standards for EVs/AFVs
• identify regulatory barriers and develop new standards, permitting systems and strategies to accelerate deployment
• promote local government initiatives which enhance markets for AFVs
• facilitate the exchange of information
